We are looking for experienced QA specialist. Your work will be to analyze requirements and create test cases to cover application functionality. You’re expected to test business logic in the first place; we’re not after typical “proofreading” kind of testing.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of Business Logics. One who knows how the application should work the best; has detailed knowledge about features and expected behavior in every possible circumstance; easily catches if something goes wrong. Continuously follows change requests in tracking system, learns new/changed behaviors and added features. Understands business meaning of things like stats, can interpret messages in errors log.

Customer-oriented. Capable to look at application from end-user point of view, feeling what the users might want and demanding improvements of user experience if something looks illogical or inconvenient. Has “an eye” for UI and behavioral flaws.

Communication. Knows how to build collaborative relationships with programmers, as opposed to competitive. Reports bugs in a non-offending manner, so that programmers would feel that QA is their best friend rather than worst enemy. Prepares understandable and detailed reports with clear instructions how to reproduce problems, helps programmers if they cannot due to environments difference.

Creativity. Capable to imagine broad variety of test scenarios, going beyond what programmers typically check themselves. Has fun trying this and that way to break the application, mimicking both correct and incorrect user behavior in various circumstances.

Thoroughness. Has enough thoroughness and patience to repeat the same tests over and over. Carefully maintains a list of test cases and extends it as new bugs are found or features added. Understands that seemingly isolated changes might have impact on other modules, and therefore tests every time from ground up. Pays high attention to every small detail.

Requirements and Skills:

• 2+ Years of experience in Quality Assurance in Web Technologies;
• Able provide complete regression test;
• Good English;
• Understanding of internet technologies (HTML, CSS, JS) is a big plus;
• Experience writing automation scripts is a plus;
• Familiarity working with Selenium IDE or an equivalent Open Source testing tool is a plus;
• Knowledge about Agile development methodologies is a plus;

• Experienced in high traffic websites is a plus;

Conditions:

• The job is remote;
• Working hours: 9-5 EST;
